 The Qualities of being a Digital Citizen


    A digital citizen is a person that consumes anything (such as information) on the Internet. Being mindful and righteous is a vital role while being online. 


    As a citizen, you must be:

  1. Aware

  • Updated about the current happenings around the world.

  • Careful and sensitive regarding what he or she posts online. 

  • Always remember the “Think before you click” mindset.

  1. Responsible

  • Instills in mind that, “For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction”. 

  • Take accountability of the consequences of his or her actions and activities online.

  1. Media and Information Literate

  • Know truths from untruths.

  • Able to distinguish whether an information is reliable and relevant.

  • Knows his or her rights to information (freedom of speech)
