Activity 5.1: Reflection

 Social Media Utilization

As the use of social media has become widespread, I, as a user of it, utilize it for three (3) main purposes, such as:

    1. Communication

• Social media allows me to communicate with others whenever and wherever I am. Instant messaging apps, such as Messenger, enable me to converse with my family and friends. In some circumstances, such as distance and busy schedules, video chat apps, such as Google Meet and Messenger, have been a way for me to see others face-to-face, maybe not personally but virtually.

    2. Information

• I am updated on the latest news through the use of social media. Information such as the daily heat index, incoming typhoons, and the current state of the country can be accessed on social media. However, assessing this information is important, as some sources are irrelevant and aim to misinform the public.

    3. Entertainment

• Video and music platforms, such as YouTube, are my go-to apps whenever I am bored. These are not solely for entertainment but are also informative, such as craft making, tutorials, and educational videos.
